It’s been over 2 weeks since we have hosted Frontiers Health in Malta for a Fast Track Event. Over 70 digital health enthusiasts were under one roof for one common goal - that of improving the Digital Health Awareness in the Maltese Islands. Medics, lawyers, pharmacists, researches, students and more listened to inspiring talks by Gerry Chille & Simon Attard who both work with international leaders in Digital Health.
Here are the 5 top things we learnt from this event.
Artificial Intelligence is there to augment the healthcare professional and not replace.
The healthcare professional curricula needs to be adapted to these emerging technologies and digital pharmaceuticals.
We need to have a conversation about the ethical implications of Artificial Intelligence.
Data, data and data. The devices we use today collect so much data, including healthcare data.
Malta has the potential to become a leader in digital health.
This event has given us more determination than ever to help the Maltese Healthcare industry to enter the digital world. Not only that, but it has given the motivation to help transform the industry into a world leading one. Before we can achieve that though we understood that we must educate people from all walks of life on what is digital health and how can it benefit their lives and you can expect more frequent blogs and posts in the coming months including basics as well as what is going on in the world.
